The opportunity

More than turning a wrench.

At HomeOps, an electrician is also a trusted guide. You will diagnose problems, explain the options in plain language, and help homeowners make confident decisions about their electrical systems.

Most days center on service calls, with planned maintenance and installations as needed. You will work independently, stay connected to the team, and have the support to keep sharpening your craft.

What the work looks like

Take ownership from diagnosis to final walkthrough.

You will be trusted to deliver technically sound work and a customer experience that reflects the HomeOps name.

01

Serve the whole home

Install, maintain, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair residential wiring, lighting, controls, panels, breakers, transformers, and related equipment.

02

Make it easy to understand

Explain what you found, show the client what you are doing, and recommend the right products and services without losing the human side of the conversation.

03

Finish with confidence

Recheck every repair and installation, inspect the wider system for future risks, and leave the work area cleaner than you found it.

04

Represent the team

Keep a clean, well-inventoried truck, work safely, participate in meetings and training, and uphold the HomeOps code of ethics.

Grow your craft

We invest in people who want to keep getting better.

HomeOps provides on-the-job training, in-house learning, and specialized technical courses so the team can stay current with changing technology and regulations.

Starting pay reflects your skills and experience, with annual wage increases as your capabilities grow.

You may be a strong fit if...

You know the trade and care how the work feels to the customer.

We are looking for a dependable self-starter who combines technical judgment with patience, professionalism, and a strong service mindset.

  • 5+ years of electrical trade experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Strong installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills
  • Working knowledge of current electrical regulations
  • Clear technical and interpersonal communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Safe, confident use of power tools and equipment
  • Reliable, flexible, and ready to participate in ongoing training

The physical side of the role

What to expect in the field

This is active, hands-on work. The role includes climbing ladders, operating handheld power tools, working in tight spaces, lifting 50-75 pounds when required, and wearing appropriate protective equipment.

Work may take place indoors or outdoors, around heat, cold, noise, electricity, contaminants, roofs, scaffolding, and crawl spaces. Some days may extend beyond eight hours or a 40-hour work week.

Safety consciousness - on the job and on the road - is part of the role every day.
